Folklore Items - Bak Do-Su's old house

This is a big farm house but private and this house is made of Penetralia. The man's part of the house, servants' quarters, Jungmunchae, shed and so on shaped in 'ㄱ‘ style. Chosun Gojong on the 1st year(1864), penetralia was built and the man's part of the house or servants' quarters were built later.

Go room and Geonneon room is at the right side of Daecheong and the main room and the kitchen are at the left side of Daecheong. On every side of the main room, doors are hung and this is unique.

Without Gamyo, behind the wall of Daecheong, the master sets up ancestral tablets and uses this place like a shrine and next to Daecheong, you can find the Go room. The Go room's gate is hung towards Daecheong and in the front of Go room, there are windows.

Man's part of the house consists of Gwang, Gate, reception room and barn. In the front of man's part of the house, a wooden floor was made on high bedrock. Servants' quarters are located at the right side of penetralia and there are kitchen and Gwang. Most particular room is penetralia and you can find that this penetralia was established in 1864.

And because of unique constitution and arrangement and old and unique structure, this house is good for study of traditional houses.
