Yongdusan Mountain which is 871m is located at the boundary of Chungcheongbook-do Jecheon-city Mosan-dong and Songhak-myeon. This mountain is the main mountain of Jecheon and in this mountain, you can see Uirimji, second Uirimji and Solbat Park. Water which is running down from the foot of this mountain makes Youngdu River and flows into Uirimji. Seokgiam Mountain and Gamak Mountain are connected to the northwest side. These mountains are in Jecheon city with convenient transportation so we can find them easily. On weekends, many citizens visit them willingly.

Pijae section(Solbat park ∼ Peak ∼Pijae) Total time for hiking: 3 hours 45 minutes. Time for sections: Solbat park - (30 minutes) - Yongdamsa(temple) - (35 minutes) - Three ways around power-line tower - (30 minutes) - Peak - (20 minutes) - Songhanjae - (30 minutes) - 867 peak - (20 minutes) - Omijae(Motjae) - (40 minutes) - Pijaejeom - (20 minutes) - Pijae

Hiking starts at the parking lot in front of Solbat Park. At this park, forests are made of 100 years old pine trees, and in this park, you can see several graceful sculptures. This Solbat Park is located at 500m from the northern Uirimji and if you pass this Solbat Park, you can find second Uirimji. The water of second Uirimji is so pure and clean. Yongdusan Mountain trail is located at the right side of the Youth Center. If you hike to Uirimji and Yongdusan Woodland Park, you can see many attractions, enjoy resting and hiking.

If you go up 400m from the parking lot in front of Solbat Park, you can find second Uirimji at the left side. You can reach three ways in front of Jinsung garden. Way of entering Yongdamsa(temple) is a small road to the northern side. In this place, you can find the parking lot that can accommodate 10 cars.

Yongdusan Mountain is the main mountain of Jecheon and chain of mountains spreads out. This is a valuable sight. Power line towers are not harmonized with this sight. If you go up 30m from the garden, at the left side of this street, you can find the sign of 'Yongdamsa(temple) 700m'

If you pass the orchard to right side following the concrete path, you can reach Yongdamsa(temple). Under this temple, parking space can accommodate 10 cars. If you want to come back to Yongdamsa(temple) later, you should park here since this is convenient. Old temple site was 600 years old and small temple which is called Yongdamsa was established by Tegojong 50 years ago. Various flowers blossom here. In front of Yongdamsa(temple), pure and clean stream is flowing. This temple is about 400 meters tall and this is not hard to hike.

If you leave Yongdamsa, you can find the turn-off. This is the valley way left of the ridge. If you select the valley or the ridge, you can reach the top of Yongdusan Mountain. You can enter to the left side of the ridge way.

If you go up for a long time, you can find the first power-line tower. Over the tower, you can see the second green water of Uirimji and it is gorgeous. You can look down KKachibong, Jecheon city. The way next to the pine trees at the ridge is connected to the tower. If you reach three-way intersection of the power-line tower, you can find the wooden bench and you can rest here. From this place to the top of this mountain, it takes 20 minutes. If you start from Yongdamsa(temple) and go up to the top of this mountain for 1 hour, you can reach the peak.

At the peak of Yongdusan Mountain, there is a large heliport. You can find ten benches around this peak. Behind the sign of 'Yongdusan Mountain 873m’ it reads 'Jecheon's famous mountain, Yongdusan Mountain, if you exist, we can find, if I live, we can live, we can live together by Jecheon Marine Jeonwoohwe, 1996. 04.05.'

If you look around it is not a good sightseeing area due to southeast side covered by the trees. Seokgi rock(906m) and Gamak Mountain(920m) are connected to the northwest side.

The ridge way to Songhanjae is connected gently. Still, the way is covered with pine trees. If you reach Songhanjae and then go straight, you can go to Pijae or Seokgiambong. If you go down to Mulaniigol with Chisungteo, you should leave the main ridge and go down through the left way. This is the shortest course and you can enjoy this course for 2 hours. If you turn to Omijae or Pijaejeom and then go down, you can hike Yongdusan Mountain for 3 ~ 4 hours. Courses of Yongdusan Mountain are various and depending on your capacity, you can enjoy proper hiking.

In Songhanjae, you should follow the ridge to Pijaejeom. Yeongwol Sinssi five tombs are located around the way. The way is certain and convenient. The ridge which flows to the west side, meets with 867 peaks and then, the ridge is twisted to the southwest. If you go down through the ridge, you can reach the observatory and there are 3 ~ 4 benches. This place is covered with trees, but you can see Uirimji and Jecheon city through the gap. The chain of mountains is twisted to the west side and this reaches the crossroad of Omijae (Motjae). Omijae is also the proper place to rest because of 3 ~ 4 benches in empty space. Distance from this place to Seokgi rock is 3km and from this place to Yongdusan Mountain is 2.4 km. The way from Motjae to the place of wood bathing and Jeomgol is certain and convenient.

In the ridge way to Pijaejeom, coarse pine trees are here and there and really pleasant. Pijaejeom is the place of farewell. If you reach Pijaejeom, you should leave Yongdusan Mountain and go up to Seokgi rock and Gamak Mountain, or go down to Pijaegol which is the shortest point. You may select the left way and then go down to Pijaegol. You may go down for less than 20 minutes and you can find asphalt road which is covered with trees. You cannot go down easily. You should be careful and go down through the woods.

[Guide point] Hiking for Yongdusan Mountain starts from the bus stop in the front of Solbat Park to second Uirimji. Ways are located at every direction. The way to Yongdamsa (temple), the right ridge way and the way to the valley at the upper Yongdamsa(temple) are there. If you select left ridge way passing Yongdamsa(temple), you should go through the steep ridge way and then pass two power-line towers to reach the peak. If you go down to Pijae, you should pass Songhanjae, Motjae and reach Pijaejeom entering the southern Pijaegol. You may not be confused because of the signpost.

Mulaniigol section (Solbat park ∼ peak ∼ Songhanjae ∼ First bridge of Pijae) Total time for hiking: 2 hours 45 minutes. Time for sections: Solbat park - (30 minutes) - Yongdamsa(temple) - (35 minutes) - three-way intersection of power-line tower - (30 minutes) - Peak - (20 minutes) - Songhanjae - (50 minutes) - Mulaniigol - First bridge of Pijae.

You should pass Yongdam-sa(temple) then enter the peak. Then go to Seokgi rock to reach Songhanjae and to leave the main ridge, go down through the left way. If you go straight, you can go to Pijae or Seokgi rock.

This course has a steep downhill road so you should take care. Mulaniigol has many traces of folk beliefs. Well made grounds for prayers are there. From Songhanjae, if you go down for 30 minutes, you can pass the ground for prayer and then reach the forest road. If you go further, you can go down to connected trail following the forest road.

Seokgiambong (peak) section (Solbat park ∼ Peak∼ Baekryeonsa (temple) Total time for hiking: 7 hours. Hiking for section: Solbat park - Yongdamsa(temple) - Power-line tower - Peak - Songhanjae - 862 peak - Seokgiambong (peak) - Gamak Mountain - Baekryeonsa(temple)
